Strategies to Optimize Your EDA

The Expected Dividend Advance (EDA) program offers AFPSLAI members a unique opportunity to access their dividends quarterly. To make the most of this program, consider these practical strategies to maximize your EDA benefits.

1. Maintain a Higher LQB

Your EDA amount is based on your Lowest Quarterly Balance (LQB). By keeping a higher balance in your Capital Contribution Account (CCA) throughout the quarter, you can increase your quarterly dividend advance. Avoid withdrawals that could lower your LQB.

2. Monitor EDA Rates

EDA rates may vary based on AFPSLAI’s financial performance. Stay informed about current rates and use our EDA Calculator to estimate how changes in rates affect your distributions.

3. Automate Transfers

Set up automatic transfers to your preferred bank account (e.g., BDO, BPI, or Metrobank) to ensure timely access to your EDA payments. This simplifies budgeting and reduces the risk of missing distributions.

4. Plan Your Finances

Incorporate your EDA payments into your financial plan. Whether it’s for regular expenses, investments, or savings, knowing your quarterly dividend amount helps you allocate funds effectively.

5. Review Your Enrollment

Periodically assess whether the EDA program aligns with your financial goals. If your needs change, you can opt out by submitting a cancellation form 30 days before the quarter ends.

By applying these strategies, you can enhance the value of your EDA distributions and make your AFPSLAI membership work harder for you.
